PIR & Microwave Sensors: What to choose?

At Deligo Ltd., we offer a comprehensive range of motion detectors designed to meet your lighting control needs. Whether you're looking for a motion detector for home or industrial use, our selection of passive infrared detectors (PIRs) and microwave sensors ensures maximum convenience and energy efficiency.

Microwave Sensors

Microwave sensors act as motion detectors by emitting high-frequency waves and analysing the echoes to detect movement. This allows for detection through thin walls, doors, and glass, ensuring full coverage in various environments. These microwave detectors are highly sensitive and provide accurate detection even with minimal movement, suitable for environments where constant monitoring is needed.

Recessed Microwave Sensor (Product Code: PCMR)

Surface Mounted Microwave Sensor (Product Code: PCMS)

Power Supply: 220-240VAC Installation: Indoors, ceiling mounted
HF System: 5.8 GHz with radar and ISM band
Detection Range: 360° Reach: 16m (Radius), adjustable
Time Delay: Min. 8sec to Max 12min

Passive Infrared Detectors (PIRs)

PIR sensors are ideal for detecting motion through heat changes. By monitoring ambient temperature, these infrared sensors use multiple detection beams to detect movement. Once a change is registered, lights are triggered. When the area cools down, they automatically switch off, helping to save energy and reduce costs.

Additional Sensors at Deligo Ltd.

Alongside our range of PIR sensors and microwave detectors, Deligo Ltd. also offers a variety of photocell kits for automated lighting control.

Photocell Kit (PCKIT):
Designed for both domestic and industrial use, this photo cell kit is perfect for managing lighting loads up to 1800W for halogen/incandescent bulbs and under 500W for LED lamps. With a UV-stabilised polypropylene base, it ensures high impact resistance and longevity, guaranteed for 500 cycles (around 13.7 years). It also features a delayed response to prevent false switching, making it ideal for environments with fluctuating light conditions.

Photocell Mini (PCMINI):
The mini photocell kit offers similar functionality but in a more compact form, perfect for installations where space is limited. Capable of handling up to 200W loads, it also includes a UV-stabilised base for high impact resistance and long life (guaranteed for 5000 cycles). This photocell kit comes complete with all necessary components, including the photocell, socket, gasket, base holder, and fixings. Like the larger PCKIT, the PCMINI is suitable for both domestic and industrial lighting, with a delayed response feature to ensure consistent performance.
